Abstract

This article presents the implementation and results of the Spanish and Guaraní Language Workshop for medical students at the Universidad Central del Paraguay. The initiative aimed to strengthen bilingual communication skills, essential for medical practice in multicultural and multilingual contexts. Thirty-four students participated, 32 of whom were Brazilian and 2 Paraguayan. The results obtained through an evaluation questionnaire reflected high participant satisfaction, highlighting the usefulness of the content, the dynamic nature of activities, and the integration of bilingualism into their professional training. Open-ended responses revealed appreciation for language practice, dynamism, and interactivity. The findings suggest that such workshops significantly contribute to developing communicative and cultural skills necessary for inclusive and effective medical care.
